About LEIM
LEIM (Local Email Intelligence Manager) is a privacy‑first email client with a triple‑tier local LLM system. All processing runs on your device—no email content is sent to cloud services.
Tier 1 · Instant Indexing
Lightweight, local indexing of subjects, bodies, threads and attachments metadata for instant search and auto‑label suggestions.
Tier 2 · Summaries & Extraction
Concise summaries and key information extraction (names, entities, dates, commitments, decisions) to speed up triage and follow‑ups.
Tier 3 · Power‑User Chat
Optional connection to local models via MCP (Ollama / LM Studio) for deep, conversational queries across your mailbox. No external endpoints.
Core capabilities include PII redaction and tracking, rule‑based categorisation with automated responses, conversational inbox search, key information extraction, and a keep/delete decision ledger—all local with a privacy shield that blocks external calls.
